It’s turkey time, y’all.

Each year the Smithfield Rescue Mission gathers all the fixings for Thanksgiving meals and gives them to families in need throughout Johnston County. Our goal is to make it possible for families in need to gather and celebrate Thanksgiving in their own homes together.

How you can help.

From now until Friday, November 10, we will collect food donations. Or you can donate $35 to cover the cost of a complete Thanksgiving meal.

What to Donate:

  • Frozen turkeys (all sizes)

  • Boxes of stuffing

  • Boxes of instant potatoes

  • Gravy (packets or jars)

  • Evaporated milk

  • Canned sweet potatoes

  • Marshmallows

  • Other canned vegetables (corn, green beans)
